Well, he’s done it. Democratic presumed nominee Joe Biden has finally chosen a running mate for the November 2020 presidential ticket. On Tuesday, the former vice president announced via Twitter, saying, “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris – a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants – as my running mate.”
Now, whether you are surprised or not about his choice, one thing is sure: whoever he chose was who the election will really be all about.
And images from his call to Kamala to let her know of his decision only confirms that.
In the images released of Biden, making a video call to the now-vice-presidential candidate is a laptop showing Kamala’s face. In front of it is a pair of hands, presumably Biden’s, holding a cell phone upside, most likely to have the speakers closer to the microphone on the phone. But it’s what else that is on the desk that is so telling of the man half of America apparently wants to put into office.
It can be clearly seen, under the phone and directly in front of the laptop on the desk, is what appears to be a script.
Yes, a script. Biden had to be given a script to call Kamala and tell her she was his VP choice.
As Sean Davis reports, “Biden’s staff had to write a script for him so he’d know why he was even talking to Kamala Harris. ‘I’m calling you today because…'”
You’d think, as the possible incoming president of the United States, the man would at least be able to make this simple call by himself. But no, just like everything he’s done since, well, pretty much the start of his over a year-long campaign has been practically spoon-fed to him.
I wonder, did he even know beforehand that Kamala was his choice? Or was that decision taken from him too? After all, what kind of person knowingly chooses to appoint a woman who labeled him a racist segregationist a mere year ago as his second in command? Granted, Harris was trying to win her own presidential election at that point and, as such, would have said pretty much anything to get her way.
But still, how does one simply forget that and just call it water under the bridge?
And that’s not all Harris has done to smear Biden’s name.
Even more recently than the debates where she attacked Biden last year, is the admittance to the press that she believes he is guilty of the sexual assault charges brought against him. This is even more bizarre. Whether he actually did it or not is beside the point here.
The point is that Biden just named someone who said, for all the world to hear, that she thinks he’s guilty of sexually harassing and molesting a young woman who worked for him. Furthermore, she has agreed to stand by his side and supposedly make the decisions that will spell out our nation’s future.
If that isn’t scary, I don’t know what it.
Then again, it’s not like Biden will be making any real decisions, will he?
He made it clear early on; whoever he chose would have to be ready and willing to take on the tasks of the Oval Office in its entirety “from day one.” And Kamala is undoubtedly such a person.
Even the ordinarily very liberal CNN noted this much.
The outlet reported on Tuesday evening, “Joe Biden made the pick that maximized his chances of continuing to make the race a straight referendum on Trump while also selecting someone whose resume suggests being ready to step in, if and when Biden decides to step aside.”
Even CNN knows and isn’t afraid to admit that it won’t be Biden in charge. It will be Kamala holding the reins and leading us straight into a socialist regime. We might as well give her the title as soon as the election is over, supposing that she can win this for Biden.
Then again, she likely just made this race a lot harder for the Democrats, as she has enemies everywhere, and many even within her own race and party.
